Mon4t

About

Our Inspiration

Mon4t is dedicated to Yair Cohen, the high school math teacher of CEO & founder Ziv Yekutieli, PhD, who had ALS. He inspired Ziv to concentrate on the links among neurology, neurophysiology, and engineering, which led to his founding of Mon4t.

The first time I faced the impact of neurological disorders was when my legendary high-school math teacher, Yair Cohen, was diagnosed with ALS. I saw him several times during his last years , witnessing the sad decline of a brilliant, humorous and adventurous person I admired.

Our Focus

Mon4T bridges technology and neurology, turning any standard smartphone into a sophisticated, personalized neurological medical testing device. The FDA-cleared, HIPAA- and GDPR-compliant solution allows clinicians, telemedicine and pharmaceutical companies, hospitals, and researchers to use clinically validated tools for remote and in-person testing and monitoring of neurological and psychiatric patients. The app provides a complete picture of cognitive, motor, and affective functioning and meaningful digital support data for physicians to improve care.

Our Mission

Use technology to advance the delivery of highly personalized care and improve the health of patients with a wide spectrum of neurological and psychiatric disorders from Parkinson’s, Huntington’s, and Alzheimer’s to other motor, cognitive, and affective pathologies.

More than one billion people suffer from neurological disorders - with a shortage of professionals to diagnose and treat them. Currently, two main alternatives exist for neurological evaluation: either the physician conducts tests in the clinic, collecting subjective - not quantitative - data, or the patient is sent to a special laboratory – of which there are few. One-time clinic evaluations do not represent the actual status of the patient in daily life. Therefore, physicians must rely upon the subject’s self-report, which isn’t necessarily consistent or correct. In addition, using the special labs increases evaluation costs and slows the results, often making them no longer relevant. As a result, few patients are properly evaluated, delaying detection and diagnostics. Mon4t allows physicians to treat more patients, with faster diagnosis, improving patient care. The accessible digital test platform turns any office into a lab. It provides passive monitoring of the person’s regular activity as well as active testing, providing clear biomarkers for analysis and treatment.
