Measure Movement

Modern phone’s motion sensors have high sample rates and can capture even the slightest movement, like heartbeats or breathing. If you can capture it, you can measure it. While there are existing protocols, new customized tests can be quickly developed and added to the motion analysis battery. Here are some examples of what can be done:

Gait analysis – get lab quality digital markers, using “Timed Up and Go” test.
Static balance – at various postures: neutral stance, feet together, one leg stance, tandem stance, with eyes closed or open and other postures.
Dynamic balance – at normal walking, tandem steps and more…
Goniometer – measure angles, body flexibility.
Muscle fitness/endurance – perform repetitive movements and quantify each iteration. E.g. Sit-to-stand, arm muscles, etc.
Custom – the platform is extensible and allows to add new usages. E.g. knee-jerk reflex, stairs climbing, long walk.
